Board governance, leadership and director level practice. For more profit, more time for yourself and family, and more clarity on where you are going. Taught by a Chartered Director with forty years on boards and senior management teams. Direct, practical, no fluff. Most importantly, profit driven.
Most people who get appointed to a board have never been taught how to do the job. They learn it the hard way, in the room, on the day a decision goes badly, by following everyone else's mistakes as fact.
That's the long way. It's also expensive for you, for your fellow directors, and for the businesses you're meant to be running.
Director School is the short way. Direct teaching from a working Chartered Director who's been at every kind of board table for forty years and has seen what the textbooks miss. Someone who can show you how to make profit, build teams, encourage people to work for the business, and make your life easier.
Just the tough questions, drawn from years of running and building businesses, and the hindsight, earned the hard way, that holds you to task.
Too many directors have no idea their personal wealth is at risk. Protect yourself.
Sharpen how you lead and make better decisions when it counts.
Forget growth. Concentrate on profit. Profit is what lets you decide how your life pans out.
You can try to kid everyone you know everything. Or you can wise up and learn how to use knowledge gaps to your advantage.
No jargon or untested theory. Just what Peter has seen, used, done and learned, often the hard way. Let him stop you making the mistakes that quietly sink businesses.

Peter holds two of the most regarded professional designations in British business. Chartered Director (IoD) and Chartered Surveyor (RICS). Across forty years he has sat on, advised, and helped boards through difficulty in financial services, sport, hospitality, manufacturing, training, research sciences, engineering, digital services, education, charities, and property.
He started Director School because too many people are appointed to boards without ever being taught how to do the job. Most learn it the hard way, in the room. Peter's view: there's no need to.
You can spend your director years following everyone else's mistakes as fact, or you can learn what to look for, what to avoid, and what it means to actually be a director.

Peter did just the job he was asked to do, to fantastic effect. He had a deep knowledge of the subject, excellent experience, and a manner that won the confidence of even the most sceptical members of the Board. The Board is now much improved as a direct result.
Peter has proven to be an inspirational help to us with a wealth of experience. His thought provoking questions are designed in such a way that YOU discover your own solutions. Also the best dressed adviser I know!
Peter's years of experience across many sectors and positions let him give excellent insight into businesses of all types and sizes. He can not only challenge existing practices, but be genuinely creative in recommending alternatives. Very valuable to busy business owners.
